formDP is a structural design office, founded by Danae Polyviou in 2024, drawing from the expertise gained through a wide variety of international design projects for over 12 years while working in London & Stuttgart. This includes residential, commercial, mixed use and cultural of several materials, scales and construction methodologies. What you can see in our website is a flavour of our current projects, while our experience spans beyond this with projects we were involved with previously. We are based in Cyprus & London.
At formDP we really value the importance of staying true to materials, utilizing forms and active geometries, understanding the context and appreciating good aesthetics.
We start from the first structural principles and use digital tools when required, to develop a tailored structural strategy for each project, using either the conventional approach or researching and experimenting the non- conventional.
We provide structural engineering service and/or consultancy from the early conceptual stages all the way to construction. We work in BIM for a smoothless coordination with the design team. For the structural analysis we use Sofistik.
We are actively involved with Academia, teaching the next generations of architects and engineers through our long standing experience on materialising projects and desing visions as well as our passion for integrated structural, architectural and environmental designs. We are currently teaching at the Architectural Association (AA) in London, at the undergrad as well as postgrad (Emergent Technologies) programs.
We are members of ETEK (Scientific & Technical chamber of Cyprus) and ICE UK.
