Goldie Leigh community space
*Visual created by studio becomingx

The Goldie Leigh NHS community space, situated in the outskirts of London, is a full timber braced frame achieving a light touch to the existing fabric and minimal carbon footprint. Ground screws will be employed for the foundation system to ensure minimal excavation, no use of concrete and ensure circularity can be achieved at a later stage. The structural strategy is to use timber moment frames in the transverse direction and timber braced frames in the lognitudinal direction, where the program allows the use of diagonal members, achieving a nice blend of architectural program and structural efficiency.
