A 600 m² house is proposed on the outskirts of Pegeia, offering unobstructed views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding landscape.
The site presents significant challenges due to its steep slope, requiring deep excavation of approximately 9 meters and substantial retaining structures.
The house is a four-storey structure designed to accommodate long spans, an internal short bridge, perimeter cantilevers, open-plan layouts, and extensive glazed façades to maximise panoramic views.
The structural strategy is carefully developed in full coordination with the architectural vision and the client’s requirements to ensure a fully integrated design. A comprehensive BIM model has been developed to enhance coordination and support a seamless construction process. The structure combines reinforced concrete shear walls, downstand beams, two-way spanning slabs, and exposed steel columns, which are integrated aesthetically to complement the architectural intent.
