Ploe Villa

Ploe Villa is a three-storey residence comprising six bedrooms, a gym, an internal swimming pool, and a spacious open-plan living area with panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. A rooftop terrace crowns the villa, offering unobstructed sea views.

The structural strategy was carefully developed to both integrate with and express the architectural concept, which emphasizes exposed concrete walls, steel elements, and a glass skylight positioned above the internal swimming pool and the central atrium. The design intentionally reveals the structural system as a key architectural feature.

The primary structural system consists of reinforced concrete slabs supported by beams, which transfer loads to strategically positioned shear walls, the central core, and slender steel columns. Overall stability is achieved through the core wall and the distributed arrangement of shear walls. In areas where the architectural vision required more refined and localized supports, steel columns were introduced to maintain structural efficiency while preserving spatial openness and visual lightness.

The project is fully coordinated using Building Information Modelling (BIM).
